Tournament Notables:.
- The AVP, celebrating its 40th year, has played at least one tournament in the state of California in all 40 of those years.
- The two youngest players this weekend (men or women) are 15-year old Sarah Wood and 17-year old Ashley Pater, and they are competing on the same team... the two oldest women's players are 41-year old Larissa Maestrini and 35-year old Lili Maestrini and they are also competing on the same team.
- The women's winner this weekend will be first-time winners on the AVP (Pro or Gold Series)... There are 3 women's teams which have won on the Tour Series before: Larissa / Lili (3 times in 2022), Macy Jerger / Megan Rice (in Virginia Beach 2023) and Hailey Harward / Kelley Kolinske (in Denver 2023 last weekend).
- In each of the last two Pro Series events a men’s tandem playing for the first time on the AVP Tour won the title. In New Orleans it was Tri Bourne / Chaim Schalk while in Huntington Beach it was Andy Benesh / Miles Partain
- Phil Dalhausser has the distinction of being the tallest, the oldest, and the most experienced (in terms of events played) in the field (men or women). He has played over 100 more events than the next player on the men's list (Billy Allen).
- There are two Megan Rices competing in Hermosa Beach (one from Florida as the 12th seed and one from California as the 13th seed). If they both win their first match, or both lose their first match, they will face each other in the next match.
