Final 2015-16 Season Team Notes
- Denver was the only NBA team that was able to defeat both Golden State in 2015-16 (who finished 73-9) and Chicago in 1995-96 (in their 72-10 season).
- The Nuggets' win on April 8 against San Antonio enabled Denver to become the only team in 2015-16 to defeat both of the West's top two seeds (Golden State and San Antonio)... Denver also swept the East's #2 seed Toronto this year.
- After Denver's buzzer-beater against the 76ers on March 23, the Nuggets have won an NBA-most (tied) 10 games by one shot (3 points or less)... last season Denver had won just 4 games decided by one shot.
- The Nuggets had a 9-8 record in March 2016, their first month (other than an October) with a winning record since January 2014.
- When DEN shot 38% 3PT-FG % or better, the Nuggets were 17-2.
- When the Nuggets were held to 99 points or less, Denver was just 3-25.
- Denver recorded 14 wins after trailing at halftime, the 4th most in the NBA.
- Between April 2010 and December 2015, the Nuggets allowed just 4 triple-doubles against them, then 5 opponents recorded a triple-double against Denver in the first four months of 2016.
- In the last 14 games of the season, the Nuggets outscored their opponent in the second half just once (San Antonio).
- Will Barton was one of just 18 players to play in all 82 games and he logged the most minutes played of anyone who started less than 50 games (Barton started just once).
- Kenneth Faried is better on fumes... in his 13 games with no rest, he averaged 12.9 ppg and 9.2 rpg but in the 6 games when he had 3+ days of rest, he averaged just 7.7 ppg and 7.0 rpg.
- Emmanuel Mudiay closed the season on a high note, as in his last 8 games he averaged 17.5 ppg (scoring 13+ in all 8 games), 5.3 rpg and 2.1 3PT-FGs made per game (made at least one in each of the 8 games).
