• Huntington Beach is fourth most frequented stop in AVP history and is one of two California stops on 2024 Tour Heritage Series.
• This is the 5th time that Huntington Beach has been the location for the season opener, tying it with Ft. Lauderdale for the most in AVP Tour history.
  
• The total AVP tournaments held in the state of California is over 300, while no other state has reached 100 (next most is Florida with 97)...The AVP, now in its 41st year, has played at least one tournament in the state of California in all 41 of those years. 
• At least one Olympian (beach or indoors) has been on the winning team in Huntington Beach in all but 7 of the men's domestic events here, while 23 of the 26 women's tournament winners in Huntington Beach have included at least one Olympian.
• On Friday Alix Klineman / April Ross lost their second round match to Kylie Deberg / Hailey Harward, ending their 22-match win streak (last loss was 9/22/19) and was their first ever match loss prior to the semifinals in their AVP partnership history (this is their 18th tournament together)
• April Ross finished in 7th place, just the second time with that low a finish in an AVP team tournament since 2007 (also was 7th in Chicago 2016), a span of 86 team events
• In her first 3 matches coming into Sunday, Taryn Kloth has had 45 kills and just 1 hitting error in 70 attempts (.629 hitting percentage)
